Phantom Trail Riders Meeting Minutes 09/06/07

OLD BUSINESS
 
T.A. will see if he has sample font for Hurricane Graphics regarding adding Rendezvous to informational signs
Pegboard still needs to be installed above bench for tools
Cold weather 4' fluorescent light has been ordered through Hardware Hank
Discussion regarding adding weather proof map holder boxes to in town signs (table till next meeting)
Proposal to build sign racks inside enclosed room at new building (table till next meeting)
2007 Trail Concerns:
  - Village has requested that 45N gets moved off of airport property
        Trail will be adjusted best as possible
  - New culvert and fill added behind Holiday, we need to install more culvert and add fill to make trail safe
        Fill to be added and culverts this year
  - 45S in front of Gin Rickey's needs to be shifted west to make room for Mark Harmon's new building.
        Appears to have plenty of room, will look into once building is in place
  - Access route to Dales, Kozy, & BP needs some work where Village of Grantsburg has been clearing and adding fill
        Village has leveled out, limbing needed on access route trail
  - New access route to Gateway Plaza will be pursued, John has talked with Todd Engstrand regarding this
        John & Todd met and existing trail will work fine.
  - Washout on Phantom Lake Trail near the top of the hill, fill and leveling required

NEW BUSINESS
 
Install Phantom Trail Riders sign at Fairgrounds building
55 mph Dusk to Dawn will be active for 3 years, also sound regulations
Ike will purchase medium size chain saw at Burnett Dairy
Industrial park has new building planned, will affect access route to Country Store
Miss Snowflake Information was passed around
East gate at Wayne Luedtkes needs repair on hinge
John to try and make sure to send e-mail reminder for meeting since we had a whopping attendance of four at last meeting

POSTPONED BUSINESS
 
Look into installing stop signs for snowmobile traffic in alley behind Legion at Main Street
Tubes to be installed in drag travel tires
Add 55mph Dusk to Dawn signs where trails exit town
County would like a pipe on the groomer that can have cones stacked for emergency situations while grooming
Look into adding a lift chain to brusher for emergency use (next fall)
